Since the whole "Jake Brake" thing got cleared up, can anyone tell me what is meant by the "Escort Area" sign that usually appears around tolls?
I realize it probably has something to do with a police escort, but I can't help picturing a gaggle of women that look like they came right from a Taxicab Confessions shoot to troll for lonely truckers.
Anyone?

I think, and I am no authority on highway driving, that you pull in there if you have a "wide-load" such as a pre-fab home or a bunch of logs in tow. You stop there to get those zippy little orange-lighted cars to ride before and after you. And, because I am afraid of passing such rigs, you may occasionally see me chugging behind them at 45 mph.
