Quote of the Day

"To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time." -Clare Ortega

Great quote! It explains why I thought it was normal that my brother taught my son to introduce himself as "Brendan My-hiney" as opposed to his actual name, Brendan Mahoney in spite of the fact that my brother is 27. It also explains why, deep down, I think it is funny...b/c we will always be "kids" around each other. But that is not the reason for my comment. What I really want to know is what time you get up. Do you really post this stuff at 5:17 am?

First of all, your brother is one of the funniest humans alive. Second, I generally get up with the kids between 6-6:30. I write almost everything for the blog the night before and technically schedule posting times....

He thinks you're pretty cool too... Although a married man (5 months next week, still goin' strong) he still looks a bit whimsical when he remembers going to his very first bar with my ex-old boyfriend Tom Vetter's ID and hand-in-hand with you as his 'girlfriend.' He was only 17...What was my mom thinking letting her baby come stay with us in Manasquan, NJ in the middle of July when we, at 22, had know idea what was an appropriate activity for someone his age? Sorry J & O but I will remind your mother of this story when you are older.
